Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 August 2026

These terms cover your use of qbo·convert, a tool by the Boring Stack studio. Plain English; we've tried to keep it fair.

1. The service

qbo·convert helps you turn bank-statement data (CSV, and more formats over time) into a QBO/OFX file for QuickBooks. A free in-browser CSV converter is available; paid plans add more. We may add, change, or remove features as the product develops.

2. Accounts & eligibility

Some features need an account. Keep your login details secure and give accurate information. You must be able to form a binding contract to buy a paid plan.

3. Acceptable use

Use the service for your own lawful bookkeeping. Don't misuse it — no attempts to break, overload, or abuse the service, and don't upload content you don't have the right to process.

4. Billing & renewal — via Polar (our merchant of record)

All orders and payments are processed by our merchant of record, Polar (Polar Software Inc.), which acts as the reseller of our digital services. Polar handles billing, payment processing, and the collection and remittance of any applicable taxes (VAT/GST/sales tax). Your purchase is also subject to Polar's terms and privacy policy.

Paid plans are billed as a recurring subscription until you cancel. Prices may be subject to applicable taxes collected by Polar. On your card statement, the charge appears from Polar (the merchant of record), not from Boring Stack.

You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.

5. Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee: if you're not happy within 14 days of a payment, email us at boringstack52@gmail.com and we'll refund you — no questions asked. We process the refund through Polar.

Separately, as merchant of record Polar may also issue refunds within 60 days of purchase at its discretion. Contacting us first is the fastest route.

6. Intellectual property

The service, its software, and its content are owned by us or our licensors. Your data and the files you generate are yours — we don't claim ownership of them.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. qbo·convert is a file-conversion tool — it is not tax, accounting, or legal advice, and it is not affiliated with Intuit or QuickBooks. You're responsible for reviewing the output before relying on it. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You can stop using the service and cancel anytime. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll post the new version here with an updated date; significant changes affecting paid plans will be communicated to account holders.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
